  • Preparing for the AZ-104 exam as a computer science graduates
by /u/842154238421542 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on April 22, 2024 at 12:17 pm

I started a new job in a company. I am aiming for AZ-104. I am now planning to book the exam in exactly 3 months from today and study for it. First I am going through the Microsoft Learn course called "Microsoft Azure Administrator". It has a lot of modules. After I've gone through it and taken notes, I'll try to build it up in the lab and prepare myself more specifically for the exam. I come from a computer science degree and am used to exams. Do you think 3 months is realistic for the AZ-104? submitted by /u/842154238421542 [link] [comments]

  • Next steps
by /u/Karlobarlo87 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on April 22, 2024 at 2:58 am

Evening all, been lurking for some time and just passed AZ-900 last Wednesday 4.17. I currently work for a MSP doing support for a building of about 500 people plus high level executives. The company has about 10k company wide but my assignment is the 500+. My question is what next? My current role doesn't have any cloud or azure but I would like to transition at some point. I have A+ and now the AZ-900 but looking to add more. How did you all find out what next steps you wanted to take? It all seems a bit overwhelming on what to pick for the next one or how to even know what to pick. I appreciate any input anyone has. submitted by /u/Karlobarlo87 [link] [comments]

  • What is the value of AZ900 / SC900 for someone in my situation?
by /u/Lucky_Rio (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on April 22, 2024 at 1:34 am

I'm currently working within contracts/bids for a very large company and want to work out the best course of action to help land a role within the companies ever growing cyber security teams. I have no relevant work experience but I believe once I've passed a couple or courses I can get myself known and speak to the right people. I've got my ISC² CC exam booked for mid May and providing I pass I'm not sure which route to take. Options ISC² CC > Network+ > Security+ ISC² CC > AZ900 > SC900 > Network+ >Security+ The reason for option 2 is that the company does use Azure, Sentinel etc but are the fundamental courses worth the time in my situation? I may learn Azure but have no security/networking knowledge apart from what will be the ISC² CC, so is it worth it or should I take Network+ and go down that route? submitted by /u/Lucky_Rio [link] [comments]

  • Setting up vNet at a startup
by /u/No_Weakness_6058 (Microsoft Azure) on April 22, 2024 at 12:31 am

At this startup I am working at, there is no vNet set up etc. How important is it to set up a vNet & is it worth pushing for it to be done now? I am sure this will end up as a lot of 'technical debt' but I could be wrong. Posting here to double check. submitted by /u/No_Weakness_6058 [link] [comments]

by /u/icebreaker374 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on April 21, 2024 at 10:49 pm

Barely... 700... but a pass is a pass. I found it both easier and harder than AZ-500/AZ-700 because it felt like more complicated questions on the same topics. submitted by /u/icebreaker374 [link] [comments]

  • Can I have a public DNS with records to private IPs?
by /u/Deep-Egg-6167 (Microsoft Azure) on April 21, 2024 at 9:49 pm

Hello, I was thinking it might be nice to have remote users able to join their computer to our AD server which does not have a public IP that is passing any traffic to the outside world. I could add a dns entry in the VPN client saying the DNS server is 192.168.10.10 or I could potentially have an public DNS server saying AD.acme.com is at 192.168.10.10. I'm not saying that either is better but maybe there are security or functional reasons for not doing one or the other. I've done the VPN client with the DNS entry in the past with no issues but am curious if there is a better way. I have lots of companies where most people are remote. submitted by /u/Deep-Egg-6167 [link] [comments]

  • France South region removed/merged with France Central?
by /u/InitialAd3323 (Microsoft Azure) on April 21, 2024 at 9:20 pm

Hi all I just noticed the "France South" region doesn't appear on Azure Portal, only having "France Central" as an option. Having a look at the API via PowerShell (Get-AzLocation | Format-Table) I can see the region has the Other category instead of Recommended like most of the other popular regions. What does this mean? Is this region getting "merged" into francecentral? Is it getting closed? I can't seem to find any information regarding this either online or here on reddit. Just asking out of curiosity. submitted by /u/InitialAd3323 [link] [comments]

  • AI-900 Exam format
by /u/ehbssbehsj (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on April 21, 2024 at 7:44 pm

I am not inquiring about the actual questions found on the exam as that would be cheating... Just want to know about the format. Does the exam consist of only multiple choice questions? Or are there other components as well? And how many questions are there? 50? Without revealing any actual questions you had (because again, I don't want to cheat), would you say the practice assessment is an accurate representation of the questions I'll receive in the actual exam? And yes, I searched the subreddit before posting, couldn't find anything about the exam format specifically. Thanks. If this is against the subreddit rules, I'm sorry - please feel free to delete the post. submitted by /u/ehbssbehsj [link] [comments]

by /u/Scion_090 (Microsoft Azure) on April 21, 2024 at 4:56 pm

Hi, Don’t know if I’m posting in right place, my question is, how to prevent users from uploading from their company laptop to cloud storage services such as Box, DropBox or G-drive. So all kind of documents shouldn’t be upload to these services. Conditional access not be a solution I guess and it might in Defender cloud for endpoint. Appreciate the help. submitted by /u/Scion_090 [link] [comments]

Good afternoon, I am entering the Azure cloud space and looking for some insight on the Azure900 Fundamental exam. I have taken the practice assessment on Microsoft site and shockingly passed with a 82%. I have reached out to other practice exams and these are significantly harder.
