- Passed AZ-800 and AZ-801 and obtained my Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate cert!by /u/voidofserotonin (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on August 9, 2022 at 1:50 pm
Wanted to obtain this cert as it looked like a suitable replacement for the retired MCSA certification. I read the Server 2019 Inside Out book, Microsoft documentation, and did lots of labbing with my Azure trial account and VMware Workstation player. I currently work as a sysadmin so I have lots of Windows experience but haven't had a chance to do much with AD DS as the structure was already in place. AZ-104 is next! submitted by /u/voidofserotonin [link] [comments]

- Azure Virtual Desktop and Teams problemby /u/i_removed_my_traces (Microsoft Azure) on August 9, 2022 at 9:32 am
Hi, Host: where microsoft remote desktop runs AVD: The Virtual Desktop in Azure. I have a strange issue where Teams on the AVD takes over the Host while screensharing and granting remote control to a third party. You can move the remote desktop window, but can't see anything on the host, and if you move another window over the remote dekstop , that blacks out that portion that is covered. Anyone familiar with this problem? submitted by /u/i_removed_my_traces [link] [comments]

- Logic app get file content from ftpby /u/Present_You_5294 (Microsoft Azure) on August 9, 2022 at 7:47 am
Hi, so, I am trying to create logic app workflow where I use the "get file content" action of ftp and then use the "create file" of file system with returned content. The big problem is that get file content returns just the file content, while "create file" seems to require json with some additional fields, which makes it so that "create file" will crash while running, and no, it's not access issue. Curiously, sftp seems to return the needed json, but I can't use it. Am I actually going insane? This seems like extremely basic thing to do, and yet there are huge issues with it. submitted by /u/Present_You_5294 [link] [comments]
- Just got my AZ900 — AZ104 what next?by /u/narba88 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on August 9, 2022 at 4:55 am
Hey All, just passed my AZ900. I’m a L3 System Admin and have a MSP background with almost 8 years experience. I’m pretty much tapped out at my current job there is no higher level — I’ll just get the average 5k a year pay increases, standard 2 week vacation and nothing really else. It’s a great job for the people with kids and families because it’s chill BUT I’m not there yet, I don’t think I’ve hit my max potential. I’m really fascinated with the cloud technology and I just conquered my imposter syndrome/confidence issues with my work that I feel unstoppable because I charge issues head on. Where can I go with an AZ900 while preparing for the AZ104 for a new gig? I don’t know if whizlabs/YouTube are enough without real world experience. submitted by /u/narba88 [link] [comments]
- Azure AD role assignment via bicepby /u/kratosgamer10 (Microsoft Azure) on August 9, 2022 at 3:53 am
Hi I’ve created a bicep module that creates a user managed identity and assigns it contributor role at the sub level. I want to assign that managed identity application administrator (azure AD role not azure resources role) to that managed ID I got the role id of the role and tried changing the scope to tenant, but doesn’t seem to work Can I do azure AD roles via bicep? I have a feeling that the resource provider Microsoft.authorisation does not do azure ad role? And does the tenant scope even mean the tenant or is it just the root MG? submitted by /u/kratosgamer10 [link] [comments]
- SubReddit for bicep?by /u/kratosgamer10 (Microsoft Azure) on August 9, 2022 at 3:02 am
Hello everyone Is there a sub Reddit just for bicep? Tried searching for one but end up getting gym related pages 🤣 I’ve been learning bicep to implement IaC and devops (azure devops and GitHub action) for a while, looking for a subReddit to follow and learn and ask questions specific to bicep and devops practices submitted by /u/kratosgamer10 [link] [comments]
- At Home Test Optionby /u/ValentineRising (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on August 9, 2022 at 2:28 am
Has anyone done this? I’ve heard it’s really intrusive and they want you to show them the whole room from your laptop and move things around. I’m not sure if it’s worth the trouble but I haven’t talked to anyone who’s actually done this. How do you set up a room for an at home test for success aside from getting rid of notes and other people? submitted by /u/ValentineRising [link] [comments]
- help with union queryby /u/EasyResolve8532 (Microsoft Azure) on August 9, 2022 at 1:51 am
so i am attempting to union 3 tables and I wanted to look for URLs, however the URL fields are different for all 3 tables, how would I go about doing this and is this something that can be done? haven't been able to find anything online, I am still relatively new to KQL, coming from SPL this was possible so I would like to know if this is possible for KQL as I've been told it isn't possible?. For example in the below query id be looking for example[.]com across the 3 tables that may contain it union CommonSecurityLog, EmailUrlInfo, OfficeActivity | where Url contains "example.com" | where SourceRelativeUrl contains "example.com" | where RequestUrl contains "example.com" Any help appreciated, cheers in advance submitted by /u/EasyResolve8532 [link] [comments]

- Creating an alert via Workbooks is possible but greyed out for some reasonby /u/rpodric (Microsoft Azure) on August 9, 2022 at 12:07 am
I was following this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/fundamentals/monitor-sign-in-health-for-resilience And got down to this: Highlight the query, and select + New alert rule. That's supposed to look like this: https://preview.redd.it/drml1hxvwkg91.png?width=860&format=png&auto=webp&s=12c24ede0da3f02687d5667f158acc803f2c30b3 But "New alert rule" is greyed out for me and I can't figure out why. To be clear, immediately before trying that I did: -Workbooks -Click "App sign-in health" -Edit -Query icon -Adjust the query -Run submitted by /u/rpodric [link] [comments]
- Azure Deployment Stacksby /u/ouchmythumbs (Microsoft Azure) on August 8, 2022 at 11:43 pm
Starting to get deep into Bicep, and came across a video snip that discusses "Deployment Stacks" that seems to have features that could help with some of our use cases. However, I cannot seem to find much additional information. Are Deployment Stacks something that is still under active development? Has it been rolled into/renamed to another offering? submitted by /u/ouchmythumbs [link] [comments]
