by /u/yridesconix (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on July 2, 2022 at 1:59 pm

First passed the AZ-204 by the skin of my teeth (700), then the AZ-104 by a bit more than that, squeezed in the AZ-900 successfully yesterday (910), and trying to work up the motivation to finish off the AZ-305. Any particular path I should go as a backend developer or next certs to try for? Also any way/suggestions to stoke up the momentum to finish strong? submitted by /u/yridesconix [link] [comments]

  • Passed the Az-400
by /u/ahmedtm1 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on July 2, 2022 at 9:27 am

CANT BELIEF!!! But yes, I have passed the AZ400 exam on my first attempt. In the exam, I got 50 Questions (44 multiple choice questions and 1 case study (6 questions), and no labs. I got almost 60% - 70% of questions related to deploying and configurations. I was preparing for 2 months. I took two courses: - AZ-400 Designing and Implementing DevOps Certification on Udemy. This course has many hands-on labs and covers a wide area but not in depth. Link: https://www.udemy.com/course/azure100/ - AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions on A Cloud Guru. This course has not much hands-on labs but covers a wide area in depth. Link: https://acloudguru.com/course/az-400-designing-and-implementing-microsoft-devops-solutions If you have good hands-on experience and some in-depth knowledge, then it's not that hard. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. submitted by /u/ahmedtm1 [link] [comments]

  • Cross Region Load Balancer - any info on when it gets GA'd??
by /u/sebastian-stephan (Microsoft Azure) on July 2, 2022 at 4:48 am

One of my customers needs a global load balancing solution on layer four. I found the Azure cross region load balancer or global load balancer, but it seems to be in preview for over a year now. Any info on when GA can be expected?? Any alternative known? Azure front door and the traffic manager work on layer 7 or need a DNS FQDN, which does not work in this case. We need a global static anycast IP, that can be routed to the active or passive site. Also looked at Cloudflare, but their project "Unimog", which offers exactly this, is not available as a product on their website. Not sure, if their load balancing solutions are DNS based or work with IP only. Any hints on that? Best regards submitted by /u/sebastian-stephan [link] [comments]

  • New to Azure, and could really use some helpful guidance and advice
by /u/MickeyWallace (Microsoft Azure) on July 1, 2022 at 11:00 pm

Hello all, I'm here today visiting r/Azure for the first time, as the title states, I'm in search of guidance and advice. I'm presently consulting with a business owner who is in the process of selling his building/office space and desires to move all his resources up the Azure cloud. The loose timeline on the deal is around the end of Summer to mid Fall. It's a relatively small network, there are (2) Win10 peer servers and (6) Win10 client workstations. One server hosts a legacy SQL database, and the other server hosts shared folders and documents only. Ideally, the desire is to transition into a scalable and predominantly remote business on the back office side of things. I'm in search of input with regards to the VM build-out and deployment, additional services needed, any caveats along the way, etc. In essence, when everything is uploaded and hosted, all users have server access with existing office PCs brought home. On the surface, I have some curiosity on - How the Azure Migration feature works to upload the existing dataset. - How maintenance, and after-care should be priced out when the dust settles. Quick about me, I'm in IT for 20+ years, I've touched a fair amount of tech along the way as you might imagine, but the closest I've gotten to this I think is deploying a Hyper-V host with 10+ VMs remotely accessible via our MSPs RMM portal. Welp, I always wanted to venture into Azure, now seems to be my opportunity! 🙂 Thanks in advance to everyone for taking the time to read. Any and all helpful info, advice, and guidance (criticisms too) are much appreciated, cheers! submitted by /u/MickeyWallace [link] [comments]

  • What are must set Azure AD user attributes?
by /u/annerajb (Microsoft Azure) on July 1, 2022 at 9:19 pm

What are the bare minimum azure ad user attributes? (Especially for a cloud only organization) I tend to go with First Last Display name, Email Title, Stare Department Company, Country (if available) If minor consent is required. This comes in handy for querying the directory for a set of users either as a filter on the UI or graph API or making dynamic security group. Any others that you used before that are helpful and I may have missed? submitted by /u/annerajb [link] [comments]

  • Way to Share an Attested FPGA Bitstream?
by /u/LuxySSBM (Microsoft Azure) on July 1, 2022 at 7:48 pm

I'm relatively new to Azure, but have been using the np10 series nodes to do hardware development on the provided FPGAs. I would like to be able to distribute my design to others to let them use the HW without seeing any of the source code. Does anyone have any idea how I should go about this? As far as I can understand, Azure doesn't actually give you the bitstream file when synthesizing a design, but rather a sort of symbolic link that shows you have permission to use the bitstream (for security purposes). Once I can share the bitstream to another VM, I'm hoping to be able to take a snapshot of that VM and upload it to Marketplace but I'm admittedly really struggling to understand documentation on this as well--a lot of solutions I'm seeing online say they render the original VM useless. If anyone can offer insight on any of these things, thank you so much! submitted by /u/LuxySSBM [link] [comments]

  • How do you monitor/track large volumes of log analytic exception logs?
by /u/neilg (Microsoft Azure) on July 1, 2022 at 6:21 pm

What tools do you use to help analyze large amounts data being dumped into log analytics and application insights? I am dealing with large volumes of logs, so it hard to pinpoint random exceptions in the mass of all the other exceptions. There tends to be a lot of noisy logs that do not need addressed, but its usually the ones that occur out of the norm that need immediate attention. Do you have any tips on tools that can extract 'anomalies'? And potentially a way to collect these logs in a checklist that I can go back through daily to review? Right now we use graphana, which is great, but it seems like it only provides a high level overview. I don't plan to replace this tool, so I'd like something light that pairs well with it for log investigation. I am trying to avoid making my own tool for this, because this seems like a pretty standard process. Thanks! submitted by /u/neilg [link] [comments]

  • Should my buisness be monitoring Enterprise Application creation on a regular basis?
by /u/AltDogBarkBarkBark (Microsoft Azure) on July 1, 2022 at 5:20 pm

We have a lot of buisness components. They're submitting changes. I'm wondering if it makes sense to have someone checking the enterprise applications in use on some sort of regular basis, to ensure that they're only expected changes, or is this an area that's a waste of time? submitted by /u/AltDogBarkBarkBark [link] [comments]
