  • Managed Prometheus Checking
by /u/No_Weakness_6058 (Microsoft Azure) on March 29, 2024 at 2:31 am

Hey, I'm using Managed Prometheus on AKS, and have installed DCGM in order to scrape GPU data. When port forwarding the DCGM, I can see that it is scraping fine. In azure docs, it says that the managed prometheus will automatically pick up any new scraping, however when on Grafana and am adding metrics such as 'DCGM_FI_DEV_GPU_TEMP{instance=~"${instance}", gpu=~"${gpu}"}' ( Temperature! ), I get the 'No Data screen'. Is there any other way I can verify that this managed prometheus is scraping the GPU data correctly? Also posted this on DevOps subreddit, which I assume a lot of you guys are also part of! Thanks. submitted by /u/No_Weakness_6058 [link] [comments]

Under no circumstances does this mean you can post hateful, harmful, or distasteful content - most of us are still at work, let's keep it safe enough so none of us get fired. Do not post exam dumps, ads, or paid services. All "free posts" must have some sort of relationship to Azure. Relationship to Azure can be loose; however, it must be clear. It is okay to be meta with the posts and memes are allowed. If you make a meme with a Good Guy Greg hat on it, that's totally fine. • FTP file movement ideas
by /u/linkdudesmash (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 11:21 pm

Issue trying to solve: A client uploads a file into Azure FTP account storage. How do we get the file to move automatically to Azure file share for the program to access it? I have to think this is a common issue for other companies as well. submitted by /u/linkdudesmash [link] [comments]

  • Combined Registration Continual Access Policy not working
by /u/ixi_Sanjuro_ixi (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 8:58 pm

Running into an issue where the combined registration policy does not force the user into combined registration. It attempts to get more info, then errors out and gives me this message: Your sign-in was successful but does not meet the criteria to access this resource. For example, you might be signing in from a browser, app, or location that is restricted by your admin. I followed this article: Enable combined security information registration - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn and verified all the settings were correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/ixi_Sanjuro_ixi [link] [comments]

  • LogicApps - Entra ID Triggers ?
by /u/Bugibugi (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 8:05 pm

Hello Reddit, Quick question : I wanted to create a Logic Apps that trigger on user event, for example : - When a user is disabled - When a user is created - When [x] property on a user is updated... But i can't find any Trigger built-in for this... Do you have any workaround ? Basically, is it possible to use audit log in Entra ID to trigger something ? There's some Entra ID connector, but nothing usefull for trigger : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/azuread/ It can be very usefull for monitoring/automation... Thank you for the help ! submitted by /u/Bugibugi [link] [comments]

  • S2S VPN solutions that don't cost a ton?
by /u/Sabinno (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 7:10 pm

Hey all, I'm working on moving ADDS to the cloud for the first time. We still need on-prem Kerberos auth for accessing shares on a NAS. Azure VPN Gateway is really poor value (~$130 for the bare minimum!) so we need an alternative solution for a site-to-site VPN - this client is a nonprofit and isn't willing to spend a ton on opex for a VPN alone. Our firewall supports IPSec and OpenVPN for S2S protocols. Any suggestions? submitted by /u/Sabinno [link] [comments]

  • Some questions regarding the test environment and the open book feature
by /u/HardLearner01 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on March 28, 2024 at 7:04 pm

It seems there is no way to remember what I've kept studying, therefore, I am considering relying on the open book feature that MS provides during the exam. I know time is essential during the exam and I might not be able to search for every possible answer and that's why I want to gain some skills in finding the correct information. my 1st question, which page is presented when trying to get help, is it this one? Microsoft Learn: Build skills that open doors in your career 2nd, Can I open the MS Learn page before starting the exam? can I open multiple webpages and keep them open, like one page for SQL help and another for Load Balancers and so on? 3rd, would using a large and high-resolution monitor is a good idea? does it make any difference? the idea is to minimise scrolling as much as possible. submitted by /u/HardLearner01 [link] [comments]

  • Best way to route outbound traffic via multiple PIPs
by /u/EustaceBaggeee (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 7:03 pm

I'm working on a small project here and looking for some general guidance. We have multiple web app instances, typically one per region, but some regions have a few more. Our application connects to many different APIs from different vendors. One vendor in particular is enforcing rate limiting by IP address. My objective here is to route all traffic heading to that specific vendor via multiple public IP addresses so we aren't as affected by the rate limits. Some more information about our infrastucture: Currently each web app sits on a vnet that routes to the internet via a NAT gateway. ( I'm hoping to keep this as the default path for all traffic not being sent to that vendor) Curious to hear what everyone thinks my best options are here. submitted by /u/EustaceBaggeee [link] [comments]

  • Help with a Broken User PowerShell Script (from Microsoft)
by /u/tabascojoeOG (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 6:41 pm

Hello In this Microsoft support article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/manage-windows-copilot#copilot-with-commercial-data-protection-as-the-chat-provider-platform-recommended-for-commercial-environments there is a PowerShell script to show what users that have Copilot with commercial data protection enabled and disabled. Issue is the script no longer works. Seems like the property AssignedPlans does not exists for Get-MgUser . Is there a working PowerShell that can show what users have CoPilot with commercial data protection, and the ones who do not? submitted by /u/tabascojoeOG [link] [comments]

  • Azure lab exercises
by /u/Interesting_Page_168 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on March 28, 2024 at 6:23 pm

Hello I just finished AZ-104 + AZ-500 training and have about 4 months left on my labs subscriptions. I would like to spend that time exercising, and would like to know if there are some exercises available, like a full scenario that I must implement. Bellow is an example : Tasks: 1. Create a Key Vault. 2. Create an MSSQL database, and enable disaster recovery (backup) for an accepted data loss of 1 week. 3. Store the password for the SA (or root) user in the Key Vault. 4. Create a Web App (framework of your choice), S1 App Plan, and enable autoscale for Memory usage above 50%. 5. Ensure that secure communication (without traversing the Internet - it should be kept in the local Azure backbone network) is configured between the Web App, Key-Vault and Database, also allowing a developer (with the current public IP address of you PC) to access them all. 6. Create a Container App with the default Sample Container 7. Place an Application Gateway in front of the Web and Container Apps - they should be accessible through the App Gw 8. Create a Linux VM (B1 or B2s) with an encrypted disk (ADE), with PKI authentication (without a password). Secure communication with the other Azure Resources created. 9. BONUS - Assign a static DNS name to the Virtual Machine. 10. Create an Alert for 80% CPU Usage on the VM. Configure email notification for somebody@sample.com. Good luck! submitted by /u/Interesting_Page_168 [link] [comments]

  • Creating a resource (Via Azure Portal) and adding a data disk doesn't update the price under "Review + create" tab
by /u/LittleWing_jh (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 6:20 pm

Hi, I know that the disk cost separately - But If the portal gives me the option to add a disk as part of the resource creation shouldn't it be update under Review + create? Obviously in the pricing calculator it shows the updated price... which include the VM cost + the disk. Thank you. submitted by /u/LittleWing_jh [link] [comments]

  • Latency connecting to Azure Flexible Server
by /u/skywalker4588 (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 5:33 pm

When running \timing select 1; from a VM running on the same region as the Azure Flexible Server, can you share the latency numbers you're seeing? I'm seeing a latency of around 15ms for Azure Windows VM talking to a Postgres Flexible Server in the same Azure region which seems really really high. 1000 super trival select queries run from an API have an overhead of 15 seconds due to this. Also curious what latency numbers you're seeing for self hosted Postgres on your network (but not on the same host as the client) submitted by /u/skywalker4588 [link] [comments]

by /u/poke887 (Microsoft Azure) on March 28, 2024 at 5:10 pm

Hello, I need to give a user read only permission to our Azure Active Directory, the user needs to be able to see all users that belong to the tenant as well as their info. The equivalent "non-reader" role would be Security Administrator, but I cannot find one for read-only. submitted by /u/poke887 [link] [comments]
