My organization is planning to buy a subscription for the employees to learn about azure. I'm the tech lead they asked me to come up with resource which has best value for money. The requirement is to learn about azure and also if possible people need to learn about certification syllabus. I suggested with pluralsight, cloud guru. But whats the best paid subscription model in industry for azure cert and azure learning. submitted by /u/dev241994 [link] [comments]

Hi everyone, I don't have any experience with Azure or Postgres so I'm trying to learn as I go. What I'm trying to do is set up OpenFGA and Postgres on Azure. I took a look at this video to get started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sE6fnagYp1M and I also read the OpenFGA getting started guide https://openfga.dev/docs/getting-started/setup-openfga/docker. What I have done so far: Setup Azure Postgres server Allowed public access and all IPs (for testing) Turned off "required_secure_transport" Created the OpenFGA container app Added the environment variables (OPENFGA_DATASTORE_ENGINE, OPENFGA_LOG_FORMAT) Added the secret for the store uri (OPENFGA_DATASTORE_URI) Checking the logs for the container app, I can see that it says it's "starting openfga playground on localhost". However, clicking on the application URL shows me "undefined_endpoint". The OepnFGA start guide mentions I need to run the migrate command to set up the tables for Postgres. I don't know where or how to even run this command. I assume I need to run the command to set up the tables but it seems like it's running the playground on the container app already so I am confused about what is required. Do I need to run all the docker commands in the setup guide from OpenFGA? If I do, where / how do I run the commands? Following the OpenFGA guide locally was simple and I could access the playground pretty quickly. Thanks in advance for the help! submitted by /u/Krytiical [link] [comments]
Hey everyone, Previous Role: Data Analyst 2.5 YOE I'm curious about the career path for a Support Engineer at Microsoft. While I'll be working for the Power BI team, I thought the Azure thread would be a good place to ask. =) I'll be starting in this role soon and would love to hear about the potential growth opportunities and experiences of others in similar roles. I'm also interested in learning about transitioning from role to role and total compensation. Any insights or advice would be really helpful! Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/jmah95 [link] [comments]
We are planning to start an ETL solution using Databricks as our transformation tool. But we are still deciding wether to use Azure SQL or Azura Data Lake for Data Storage. What are the pros and cons of using these 2? Our two main concern are who is most faster on read/writes and the cost. submitted by /u/aljandeleon [link] [comments]

I have been looking on here and I hear Tutorials Dojo is really good for az-104 practice tests. I can see only one practice exam for $14.99 that has a Timed mode, Review Mode and a Final Test. Anyone know if this is the one I need to purchase? submitted by /u/hp-redd [link] [comments]
We have a client at my company who's moving their servers to Azure, however one of our internal tools for our software that will be hosted on their servers heavily relies on symbolic links. Hi hoping for any advice for anyone who has RBAC setup or perhaps something better. I’m currently adding job titles and departments to every user in ad (no idea why no one did it before me). Once done I would like to create dynamic groups to catch both roles and departments that will provide access to all relevant share point sites and even go into installing different softwares (once I’ve built out the image past the generic one currently used) I know this will be a lot of work as I’ll have to speak to every department on needs but does anyone see any issues with this method or think there’s a better one? submitted by /u/Large_Pineapple2335 [link] [comments]
I’m working on my AZ-104, and just got done with access packages. I went through it in a lab, but I want to make sure I understand this correctly: A global admin creates the package and it requires direct assignment. New user Bob Joe starts. Bobs account is created, and the access package is assigned. Bob now has access to these resources (applications, Teams etc). In a sense, this basically automatically provisions that identity with access to the resources it would need right? submitted by /u/denmicent [link] [comments]
Hey folks, so I'm learning how to create repeatable deployments using ARM/JSON templates. I have a working template at the moment and it is very standard, just to get me started. However, when deploying the template by using Azure Cloud shell, the shell deploys the resources using the values in the parameters.json file. Is there a way to have the Cloud Shell prompt me to enter certain values? Like the VM name? Is there a device cleanup rule available for registered devices? We want to remove records for all devices that haven’t had activity for the last 6 months. We still see personal Windows, Android and iOS devices listed that are from 6 years ago that users have since replaced and upgraded multiple times or are from people who left the company. submitted by /u/lighthills [link] [comments]
We recently implemented a virtual network in our Azure environment This was implemented so that our function has a private endpoint to our storage resource for inbound traffic, and it has a gateway-based virtual network connection for outbound traffic The function is triggered by items in a storage queue. There are PLENTY of items in the queue After implementing this, the execution count of the function went way down The subnet that I used in the virtual network has 2043 available IPs, so that should not be a restriction (unless I maybe need more than that?) Has this happened to anyone else? Is there something else that I need to change? submitted by /u/teamsteve [link] [comments]
Hello everyone, I'm new to working with Kusto queries and I've run into an issue with a KQL query I'm running on Resource Graph Explorer.
