Azure AI Fundamentals Breaking News – Azure AI Fundamentals Certifications Testimonials

  • We ran an Azure cost review recently — here are the 5 most common waste patterns we keep seeing
by /u/cloud_9_infosystems (Microsoft Azure) on February 12, 2026 at 12:49 pm

Recently went through a fairly detailed Azure environment review for a mid-sized org, and I noticed some cost patterns that seem to repeat across a lot of tenants. Sharing in case it helps someone here: VMs oversized “just in case” and never resized Old snapshots and unmanaged disks piling up quietly Dev/test environments running 24/7 No tagging strategy, so no ownership accountability Paying PAYG for steady workloads that could be on reservations None of these were dramatic architectural issues — just slow, unnoticed sprawl over time. Curious: What’s the most surprising cost drain you’ve found in Azure? submitted by /u/cloud_9_infosystems [link] [comments]

  • SC-300 how did you find the exam?
by /u/ms-wt54a (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on February 12, 2026 at 12:31 pm

I have the exam coming up in 3 weeks and I've seen a couple posts on here mostly with people mentioning how difficult they found the exam. Has anyone taken the exam this year, do you have any advice or tips since the exam was updated with additional content around global secure access? submitted by /u/ms-wt54a [link] [comments]

  • Anyone running agentless scanning for Azure VMs, containers, and identities?
by /u/Top-Flounder7647 (Microsoft Azure) on February 12, 2026 at 12:23 pm

We’re running a decent sized Azure setup with VMs across a few subscriptions. Security stack means Defender agents, backup agents, monitoring agents, compliance agents and a couple others ending up at 5-7 agents per VM. Performance takes a hit especially under load and patching turns into coordination hell with conflicts and restarts. Breakdown of the issues: Azure performance degrades from agent CPU/memory overhead Patching cycles stretch out because agents fight over reboot windows Visibility fragmented across agent consoles no single pane Scaling new VMs means deploying and configuring all of them every time Tried native Azure consolidation like Defender for Cloud but it still leans on agents for deeper host coverage. Looking for ways to handle cloud security without this agent fatigue: Agentless scanning or side scanning that covers VMs containers identities Unified visibility and compliance without per VM installs Something that actually improves patching and perf not just shifts the pain Has anyone pulled this off in Azure production? What tools or patterns worked to ditch most agents while keeping coverage tight? Real experiences with tradeoffs on depth vs overhead would help a lot. submitted by /u/Top-Flounder7647 [link] [comments]

  • ASureBus - a lightweight messaging framework build on top of Azure Service Bus
by /u/redMussel (Microsoft Azure) on February 12, 2026 at 11:25 am

Hi everyone, first post here, hope I picked the right flair 😅! Over the past months I've been working a lot on integration stuff. In one case, a client asked for something that directly consumed the Azure Service Bus SDK instead on relying on popular frameworks like MassTransit, Rebus or NServiceBus. Questionable choice, and not necessarily my first pick but sometimes you have to build what client "needs". Instead of throwing away the patterns and experience I’ve accumulated working with messaging systems, I started extracting those ideas into a small library built directly on top of the Azure Service Bus SDK. I've been working on this in my free time for a while now and wanted to share the outcome with someone. Its purpose is to abstract common messaging patterns relying, directly, on Azure Service Bus SDKs. In short, it aims to provide: Fluent configuration Simple message and handler abstractions for commands, events and timeouts. Built‑in support for sagas with durable persistence and timeout scheduling. Transparent heavy property off‑loading to Azure Blob Storage. Automatic discovery of handlers and sagas and concurrency control. Sensible defaults with extensive configuration options. It's currently targeting .NET 8... yes, .NET 10 support is on the way, I'm a bit late, I know 🥲 ASureBus is currently shipped via nuget as two packages: ASureBus is the main runtime package ASureBus.Abstractions defines contracts, marker interfaces and option classes The code base is public on GitHub: https://github.com/ggcol/ASureBus#11-nuget-packages and comes with a LGPL license. Docs are in the README and yes, AI helped in writing it 🙈 (usually) under strict supervision 😎 I suppose this is something like roast my library... Comments, suggestions, contributions, stars, whatever you feel it deserves are very appreciated ☺️ submitted by /u/redMussel [link] [comments]

  • How can I keep using Azure for free after the trial ends?
by /u/Admirable_Maximum235 (Microsoft Azure) on February 12, 2026 at 10:26 am

How can I keep using Azure for free after the trial ends? I am using azure for free with around $200 credit but now the time is finished. I cannot have access to the databases I have created. I use just for studying purposes. Is it possible to get access to the same functionalities I had before? Cheers submitted by /u/Admirable_Maximum235 [link] [comments]

  • I tried to use my azure account from a while back and found out that I have been permanently blocked.
by /u/MangoTamer (Microsoft Azure) on February 12, 2026 at 7:11 am

God forbid you create an azure account and then stop having a use for it for a while. So I tried to get my azure account going because I had a use for one and when I went to sign in I found out that my tenant or account has been completely blocked. Blocked due to inactivity. Customer support told me that my account has been "deleted" due to inactivity. Okay great, but if my account has been deleted why can't I just create a new one? This isn't my account being deleted, this is my account being banned. This is the equivalent of an account ban just for me not using my account for a while. I've never run into this on any of the other platforms and honestly it's left a really foul taste in my mouth for azure and Microsoft in general considering how difficult it was to get in contact with an actual human. Just wanted to warn everyone that if you do sign up for an azure account it'll be like your little baby that you have to take care of all the time to keep your account from getting banned. You have to keep signing into it periodically. submitted by /u/MangoTamer [link] [comments]

  • Passed AZ-900 (Score: 810) – what I used
by /u/Otherwise-Program876 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on February 12, 2026 at 6:51 am

Just passed AZ-900 with 810 — exam had 36 questions. Sharing what worked for me in case it helps someone. I mainly used SkillCertLabs: Practice tests Their cheatsheet Repeated the tests multiple times After a few rounds, I was consistently scoring 80–95% on the practice exams. Important note: only some questions were exact on the real exam — don’t expect a dump. That said, the practice tests teach you enough to understand how Microsoft frames questions and what concepts actually matter. For theory + clarity, I studied these notes: https://github.com/undergroundwires/Azure-in-bullet-points/tree/master/AZ-900%20Microsoft%20Azure%20Fundamentals They’re super concise but can feel dense, so I used ChatGPT heavily to: Break down confusing points Explain services in simple terms Compare similar Azure services Ask “why” instead of just memorizing That combo really helped everything click instead of rote learning. Overall strategy: Learn concepts properly Use practice tests to identify weak areas Repeat until your scores stabilize Don’t panic if questions aren’t word-for-word — if you understand the topic, you’re good Hope this helps. Good luck to anyone taking it 👍 submitted by /u/Otherwise-Program876 [link] [comments]

  • [Tool] I built an open-source Azure Service Bus inspector because Azure Portal can't show message content during incidents
by /u/medghosh (Microsoft Azure) on February 12, 2026 at 4:05 am

Hey r/azure, Azure Portal shows message counts. Not message content. When 5,000 messages are stuck in Dead-Letter Queue at 2 AM, I need to see: What's in the messages? Which customers are affected? Why did they fail? Are there patterns? Azure Portal just shows: "DLQ: 5,000" What I Built ServiceHub - A web-based tool that shows what's actually inside your Service Bus messages. • Want to add greenfield hub and share existing express route with greenfield and existing hub for migration. Need advice
by /u/Rick24wag (Microsoft Azure) on February 11, 2026 at 11:18 pm

hello, since I don't have to mess with express routes very often i wanted to make sure this was correct. I have a standard hub and spoke environment and an express route at our colo. I need to create a new hub and will share the existing express route so the brownfield and greenfield hubs will both use the same express route. I'll create the new hub and spoke vnets and peer them. I'll create a new ER gateway in GF hub. I'll add a new connection from the ER circuit to the GF ER gateway. On prem should see BGP routes from GF and BF now. Change weight for on prem router to give preference to BF pathway for now. I plan to migrate most things to GF and then eol BF. Should be pretty straight forward right? Am I missing anything? by /u/John_B_147 (Microsoft Azure) on February 11, 2026 at 9:19 pm

I am thinking about moving 5TB of archive data into Azure cool storage and then using azure files and tiered syncing to a local server to create a share because apparently staff need to access the archive every couple of months. I've looked at the azure storage calculator and I'm wondering how do others estimate things like transactions and Data retrieval? I've reached out to our licencing provider and they said its pennies but I'd like a bit more info before bringing to the boss. submitted by /u/John_B_147 [link] [comments]

  • Securing 5 On-Prem VMs with Azure Arc + Defender for Server Plan 2 - Best Approach?
by /u/techwithz (Microsoft Azure) on February 11, 2026 at 8:21 pm

Hey everyone! We’ve got a client running 5 VMs on their on-prem servers. They’re not looking to migrate into our cloud tenant, but they do want us to take ownership of securing the environment properly. Our approach is to Azure Arc–enable all 5 VMs, onboard them into our tenant, and apply Defender for Servers (Plan 2) so we can manage them through Defender for Cloud and bring them into our overall security posture view. This is largely a catch-up and standardisation exercise to ensure consistent monitoring, vulnerability management, and threat protection across environments. We’ll also be replacing their existing Defender for Endpoint deployment on the primary server with our own Defender for Endpoint instance under our tenant to keep everything centralised. For those who’ve implemented a similar Arc-based setup for securing on-prem VMs without migrating them — did you find Defender for Servers Plan 2 justified in this type of scenario, or would Plan 1 have been sufficient? Would really appreciate hearing your experiences and any lessons learned. submitted by /u/techwithz [link] [comments]

Hi guys, I hope you're doing well. I'm in my final year of my bachelor's degree in IT, focus on networks and system administration. I don't have strong programming language skills to be honest. I saw that we can choose between python and C#, it'll be python for me. I can improve my basic python skills but I wanted to know what level of programming is needed to take the AI-102 ? Thanks in advance :)! submitted by /u/WonderfulFinger3617 [link] [comments]
